The state of North Carolina took a devastating hit from hurricane Helene. So bad that the governor said it would likely take years to fully record in detail all the damage done from its downpours, high speed winds, and flooding.

In the aftermath of the historic disaster, LeeBoy has been helping the surrounding effected area from day one. First of all, they have employees who lived in the most impacted places nearby, and their first priority was making sure that their workers were safe and taken care of. Once they had them settled, they set to work on helping other in the community.

Th

"We rented a house for one of our associates who had severe damage done to his home by a fallen tree, and had no power," said Maddie Eaker, marketing coordinator for LeeBoy. "This house is also a place for employees who are still without power or water to take showers or wash clothes."

LeeBoy has also provided local associates with cases of fresh water, food items, and other resources as needed.

"We have a relief team who went to Ashe County to take supplies and help wherever they are needed," Eaker continued. "This will be an on-going trip. They took 884 lbs. of supplies, 11 cases of water, and 9 Anker Prime Power Banks."

The company's factory and office locations have served as a donation drop-off point. From there, the supplies are redistributed to those who need them. The company has been taking donations via the Venmo app to help fund their recovery efforts, and had raised over $1000 from other employees and their dealer network, so far.

"Our commitment to Western North Carolina will be on-going," Said Eaker. "We are not only working to help provide supplies, but we are planning to gather more volunteers to send with our relief team, aiding in clean up and rebuilding."
