Komatsu has expanded its presence in the Southwestern United States with the acquisition of six former Core Machinery dealership locations. The transition includes three locations in California — Bakersfield, Mojave and Perris — and three in Arizona, including Prescott, Phoenix and Tucson. These sites will now operate as Komatsu-owned dealers, offering mining equipment, parts and service.
The transaction was finalized on June 9, 2025, and marks a strategic shift to bring these independent dealerships under Komatsu’s direct management. The move extends Komatsu’s company-owned dealer territory across Southern California and Arizona.
According to John Ward, Senior Vice President, Mining and Company Stores, the integration aims to streamline operations and improve customer access to Komatsu products and support across the region.
Komatsu's mining facility in Mesa, Arizona, has long supported customers in the area. The addition of these six locations is expected to strengthen the company’s ability to serve a wider range of mining operations in the Southwest, an area with a longstanding presence in the mining industry.
