Caterpillar Inc. announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire RPMGlobal Holdings Limited, an Australian mining software company headquartered in Brisbane.

RPMGlobal provides data-driven software solutions for all stages of the mining lifecycle and has been in operation since 1977. The acquisition will complement Caterpillar’s existing technologies in asset management, fleet management, and autonomy.

“RPMGlobal’s culture and agile software approach align with Caterpillar’s focus on solving customer needs,” said Denise Johnson, group president, Caterpillar Resource Industries.

The deal requires approval from RPMGlobal shareholders and regulatory authorities and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026. J.P. Morgan Securities LLC is serving as Caterpillar’s financial advisor.
