JLG Industries

JLG Industries, an Oshkosh Corporation company, is addressing skilled labor shortages in U.S. manufacturing and construction by investing in workforce development and creating a pipeline of trained professionals.

Through partnerships with high schools, technical colleges, trade associations, and industry organizations, JLG helps students and current workers gain hands-on experience in welding, painting, assembly, robotics and equipment operation.

School-to-Work Programs in Pennsylvania
JLG’s School-to-Work program allows high school juniors and seniors near its Pennsylvania facilities to earn school credit while working in roles from welding and assembly to warehouse support. S2W+, an advanced version, offers exposure to robotics, engineering, and testing, helping students transition into full-time roles after graduation.Jlg Training 3JLG Industries

Technical Education Partnership in Tennessee
At the Tennessee College of Applied Technology, students work part-time on JLG’s maintenance team while attending classes, rotating across shifts to learn from specialists and apply classroom lessons in real-world settings.

Upskilling Current Employees
JLG also invests in its workforce through internal trainee programs. The Weld Trainee Program and Paint Trainee Program provide classroom instruction, lab work, and on-the-job training, helping team members advance into high-demand skilled roles.
