- Designed with features to economically store hot mix asphalt for extended periods of time, CMI’s silos are also designed with special features to reduce segregation
- Rugged slug feeders designed to reduce segregation are fitted with AR steel liner plates as are the steel cones and conveyor sides
- Also featured are CMI’s dual discharge gates of 48-in. x 12-in. wide with elastomer seals configured perpendicular to the driveway to reduce material segregation
- Safety gates with a 4-in. floor structure closes with a clam gate failure or loss of silo power.
- Drag conveyors that accompany all CMI silos are armored with chromium carbide steel liners in the floor for long life
- Equipped with three-stage reduction of belt, planetary and chain with 15 & 48 tooth drive sprockets, CMI offers drag conveyors with performance levels up to 650 tons per hour
