Subsite Releases M10 Beacon for Short-Run HDD Applications

Subsite

Subsite has introduced the M10 HDD guidance beacon, a compact new option designed for short-run underground utility installations using small horizontal directional drills (HDDs). The beacon is intended for use with compact drills such as the Ditch Witch JT5, as well as similar models from other manufacturers.

With a diameter of less than 1 inch, the M10 is among the smallest HDD beacons currently available. Its compact size allows for use with smaller drill bits, making it suitable for fiber drops and other short-line installations where preserving surface conditions is a priority. The reduced bit size can minimize turf disturbance and limit the volume of cuttings generated during drilling.

Durability is a key focus of the M10’s design. The beacon includes an epoxied antenna and other features to extend product life and reduce downtime across multiple projects.

The M10 operates at depths of up to 55 feet and is covered by a one-year or 350-hour warranty. It integrates with Subsite’s Marksman HDD Guidance System and supports features such as automatic beacon-to-tracker pairing, designed to simplify setup and save time on the job.

With this release, Subsite expands its portfolio to cover a wider range of drill sizes and installation scenarios.
