Volvo Trucks Launches Free Load Finder Tool to Reduce Empty Miles

Volvo Trucks North America is offering Load Finder, a free service that helps carriers find loads and reduce “deadhead” miles — trips with empty trailers that drive up fuel use, emissions and costs.

The service matches trucks with loads based on location, price, route and driver availability. It aggregates data from more than 40 load boards into a single platform, simplifying logistics for dispatchers and improving fleet utilization.

Load Finder works with all truck brands and models and can integrate with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs), Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Volvo Connect, the company’s fleet management platform. Volvo collaborated with Canadian freight technology company Class8 to develop enhanced analytics for smarter load recommendations.

The tool requires no additional hardware or software and is accessible on desktop or mobile devices. Volvo customers can sign up for Load Finder at volvotrucks.us/loadfinder.
