At its largest CONEXPO-CON/AGG exhibit to date, Link-Belt Excavators unveiled the 245 X4S and 80 X4 models, which are designed to improve fuel efficiency, operator comfort and machine connectivity.

The booth also featured a technology area focused on connectivity, artificial intelligence and operator training. Two excavator simulators allowed attendees to experience machine operation and jobsite technologies in a hands-on environment.

The company also introduced an expanded Precision Grade 3D platform that supports grade control systems from Trimble and Topcon. The system is designed to allow contractors to install machine guidance technology more easily.

In addition to equipment and technology displays, the exhibit included interactive demonstrations such as the Excavator Showdown, where operators competed to complete precision challenges using a 220 X4S excavator.

The competition, now in its eighth year at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, featured daily demonstrations and prizes for the fastest operators.
