Master Builders Solutions has launched the MasterAtlas R3 Returned Concrete Program, a system designed to help ready-mix producers reuse returned concrete.
The program combines sensor data, AI-based software and admixture chemistry to monitor returned concrete volume and temperature, recommend dosing and identify reuse options.
Returned concrete reuse is addressed under ASTM C1798/C1798M. The system uses admixtures to help stabilize returned concrete so it can be incorporated into new batches while meeting applicable standards.
According to the company, the program is intended to reduce waste, lower raw material use and improve plant efficiency. It is available to ready-mix producers in the U.S.
