JCB has added two new mid-size skid steer loaders to its compact equipment lineup. The 250 and 290 are manufactured in Savannah, Georgia, and are designed for construction, landscaping and material-handling applications.
Both models are powered by 74-hp engines and are compatible with a range of skid steer attachments. Applications include loading trucks, moving palletized materials, grading, site cleanup and handling aggregates.
The 250 has a rated operating capacity of approximately 2,531 pounds, while the 290 has a rated operating capacity of about 3,029 pounds. Both offer hinge pin heights of more than 10 feet.
The loaders feature JCB's single-arm boom design, which provides side-door access to the operator station. This allows operators to enter and exit without climbing over attachments mounted to the front of the machine.
High-flow hydraulic options are available for applications requiring additional hydraulic power. The compact footprint is intended to provide maneuverability on residential, commercial and landscape jobsites where space may be limited.
The 250 and 290 expand JCB's skid steer offerings in a mid-size weight class, providing additional options for contractors looking for a machine capable of handling material movement and general site work.
