Makita has expanded its rebar tool lineup with the introduction of a new 40V max 16-gauge rebar tying tool, along with a stand-up extension handle designed for close-to-ground applications.
The cordless tying tool is designed for use across a range of construction applications, including commercial building, infrastructure, tilt-up construction, precast work and residential projects. The tool can produce stronger ties and offers deep tying capacity, supporting rebar combinations up to #9 by #8. It can complete up to 3,600 ties of #3 by #3 rebar on a single charge using a 40V max XGT 2.5Ah battery.
Makita also introduced a rebar tying stand-up extension handle, which allows users to perform tying tasks from a standing position. The handle is intended to reduce bending during repetitive close-to-ground work, such as slab and foundation preparation.
The new tools add to Makita’s cordless rebar solutions aimed at supporting efficiency and ergonomics on construction jobsites.
