The location of assets, from excavators to drill drivers, is a constant struggle for contractors. Software for construction asset tracking can help. This software does not necessarily need to involve GPS or tracking hardware. Bar code scanning, RFID, or just a solid record of who had the asset last is extremely useful.

This function can be included in field productivity software or can be a standalone product. GPS-enabled asset management is a growing field, but there are options for smaller contractors with smaller asset portfolios and budgets.
